2008-2009 Welcome Message

As we start the New Year, the Saint George P.T.O. board wishes a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Year to all the parishioners.

We would like to thank all the ladies and gentlemen who helped and supported last year's P.T.O events either by baking a cake, cooking for a P.T.O sponsored breakfast, lunch, dinner or organized and helped with any of the fundraiser events. It's with your support and contributions that we can offer to our children events to celebrate our culture and heritage.

Starting the year, the P.T.O. will host a luncheon on Sunday January 25th to honor The Three Hierarchs Day as well as to celebrate and thank the Greek and Sunday School teachers. We are asking everyone and especially the families with children attending the Greek or Sunday School to honor our teachers by attending this event. Please call Evie Georgopoulos (732- 801-6295) for more information and reservations.

On Sunday February 15th, the P.T.O will celebrate Godparents day. That day, we will be selling Lambathes and Corsages. Come to church with your Godparent or Godchild and enjoy a day dedicated to this blessed bond. Give your order to Dorothy Koutsoras at (908) 561-8089 by February 8th, 2009. Corsage for Nouno / Nouna $5.00 each. Lambatha for boy / girl $5.00 each.

On Sunday February 22nd, the P.T.O. invites you to the annual Apokriatico Glendi. This is the biggest fundraiser event and we are hoping to see you at the dinner dance. More information will be distributed at the end of January. Call Dorothy Koutsoras at (908) 561-8089 or Athinoulla Bizos at (908)253-0572 for reservations or more information.

Finally, we want to thank all the individuals and families who became P.T.O. members. You don't need to have children enrolled in any of the Saint George's programs to sign up for membership.
