GOYA News for June 2003
This Month the GOYA has enjoyed a lot of great things.
First we congratulate Nicholas Parais on being elected as the new president
of the GOYA. We also congratulate all of the other officers and we thank
all those who ran for office in the GOYA.
Finally, we thank Haroula Koufis and all of last year’s officers for
their hard work and dedication during the past year. Your service to your
church and your fellow youth group members is greatly appreciated.
We also congratulate all of the participants in the Jr. Olympics which
took place at the Dunn Sports Center in Elizabeth on Memorial Day weekend.
The GOYANS, advisors, coaches and chaperones did a great job organizing
and carrying out their respective duties to make this a great weekend
for everyone. We commend everyone who won medals including the co-ed volleyball
team which won first place.
This month we have three important events; one is the GOYA Banquet
on Sunday June 8th; two is the GOYA Prom hosted by St. Barbara of Toms
River on June 13th; and the AHEPA Graduation Awards Ceremony on June 22.
